Musical 'Metaphasia' -- Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main St., Westminster, will host its fall musical, "Metaphasia" premiering Friday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. Additional show times are Saturday, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.; as well as Sunday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. The show includes 45 middle-school actors,in a re-telling of the Grimms' Fairy Tale "Twelve Dancing Princesses." Tickets are $10 adults; $7 for CCAC members, seniors and students. Call 410-848-7272.


Lions fruit
-- The Freedom District Lions is conducting a holiday fruit sale. A two-fifths bushel of oranges or grapefruit is $18 and a trio gift box (12 oranges, 12 grapefruit and 12 apples) is $25. To place your order for early December delivery, call 410-549-LION and leave a message.

Youth dance
-- St. Joseph's Middle School Youth Group will host its annual Sock Hop, 7-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, in the gym at St. Joseph Catholic Community Church, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg. The dance is open to middle school aged youth. The cost is $7 and a non-perishable item. All food will go to Carroll County Food Sunday. Millers bazaar -- Millers United Methodist Church, 4224 Millers Station Road, Millers, will host its Christmas bazaar, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. Holiday gift ideas, country decor, hand-crafted wreaths, garlands and arrangements. Ornaments, antique trunks, Tastefully Simple products, jewelry, health and skin products and other gifts. Gourmet coffee, soups, sandwiches, bake goods and candies.

"Mamie" Mcllhenny -- On Sunday, Nov. 16, 2-4 p.m., Caring Carroll Inc. will present "Mamie Eisenhower," the 34th president's wife, in the person of Ruthmary Mcllhenny, a popular local interpreter. The program will feature a light lunch with afternoon tea, and will be held at the St. Johns Portico, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. Mcllhenny has portrayed Mamie in Gettysburg, the Camp David Museum in Thurmont and other locations. Tickets are $12 for one and $20 for two. Call 410-775-5596. Caring Carroll Inc. is a non-profit organization that supports a network of volunteers in Carroll.
