Spring Forward Did you remember to set your clocks ahead an hour last night? If not now is a good time to spring those clocks forward!

Taneytown Toyland The Toy Auction and Show at the Taneytown carnival grounds and activities building, 49 Memorial Dr., Taneytown, continues Sunday. The show, hosted by the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company, runs 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Hess trucks, tractors, collector items and food. Call Donald at 443-277-6204.

Green cabbage and bluegrass St. Benjamin's Lutheran Church, 700 Krider's Cemetery Road, Westminster, will host a corned beef and cabbage luncheon on Sunday, noon-3 p.m. Also on the menu are red potatoes, chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese and desserts. All dolled up Taneytown Library, 10 Grand Drive, Taneytown, will host Barbie's Birthday Bash on Monday at 2:30 p.m. for ages 3 and older. Bring your Barbie for an afternoon of games, crafts, snacks and stories to mark Barbie's 51st birthday. Refreshments will be served. Children age 3 must be accompanied by an adult. Apron strings "Aprons: Ties to the Past," is a program scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the North Carroll Library, 2255 Hanover Pike, Greenmount. To mark Women's History Month, hear about the role of aprons from the 1850s to 1960s -- who wore them, their uses, and what they looked like. Bring an apron and a story to share. Call 410-386-4480.

Moo-ving art On Wednesday at 2 p.m., North Carroll Library, 2255 Hanover Pike, Greenmount, will host "Library Illustrators: 'Click Clack Moo' and Betsy Lewin," for ages 7-11. Explore the work of some of children's illustrators and create your own piece of art. Call 410-386-4480.

Can't eat just one A teen night Potato Chip Tasting Party for ages 11-17 will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m., at Taneytown Library, 10 Grand Drive, Taneytown. Hang out with friends and enjoy activities at the library, and celebrate National Potato Chip Day at a potato chip tasting party. All supplies provided. Call 410-386-4510.

Rose, as sweet Westminster Library, 50 E. Main St., Westminster, will host the program, "Grandmother's Roses," on Thursday at 6 p.m., for adults. David Walsh of the Maryland Rose Society will offer advice on planting, pruning and feeding roses, and will discuss America's first Hybrid Tea rose, hybridized in 1888 and lost for years, now coming back after it was found growing in Germany. Seamus on stage Northern Ireland native singer, songwriter and humorist Seamus Kennedy will perform in concert Thursday at Baldwin's Station, 7618 Main St., Sykesville, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for dining. Tickets are $17. Seating is limited. Call 410-795-1041.

Loving 'Hate' The comedy, "I Hate Hamlet," will be performed at Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 18-20, 7 p.m. each night. There's also a Sunday, March 21, matinee, at 2 p.m. Paul Rudnick's 1991 comedy revolves around a TV actor who is visited by the ghost of John Barrymore. Whirl into spring The group, Wherligig, featuring the Koons family, will perform songs filled with stories and history at Spring Fever Coffeehouse, a night of live Celtic and Nordic music, Friday, 7-9 p.m. at the Piney Run Nature Center, 30 Martz Road, Sykesville. Flavored coffees, teas and desserts will be served. The program is open to anyone ages 12 and older. Cost is $18. Hosted by the Piney Run Recreation and Conservation Council. Friday's 'Month of Sundays' The Carroll Players will present the show, "A Month of Sundays," opening on Friday, March 19, at 8 p.m. Set in a retirement home, the play revolves around two residents as they face life, and their families, with humor and wit. Additional show dates are Saturday, March 20; Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27, 8 p.m. each night; and Sunday, March 21, 2 p.m. Ticket are $15 adults, $14 for arts council members, children and seniors. Walk with nature A nature walk at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary, Mount Airy, will be held Saturday, 9-11 a.m., sponsored by the Audubon Society of Central Maryland. People of all ages are welcome. Meet at 9 a.m. at the gate to the sanctuary, 13030 Old Annapolis Road. All things chocolate Freedom District Lioness Club will host its third annual Chocolatefest on Sunday, 2-5 p.m., at the Pleasant Valley Fire Hall, 2030 South Pleasant Valley Road, Westminster. Admission is $15 and provides access to chocolate tastings, beverages, entertainment and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit service projects of the Freedom District Lioness Club. Striking up Sousa The Carroll Concert Band, directed by Glenn W. Patterson and Associate Director Kristen Stoetzer will perform its annual Sousa Style concert Sunday, 3 p.m., in the auditorium of Winters Mill High School, 560 Gorsuch Road, Westminster. The concert is presented in honor of Miriam Beck, who has served as narrator for the band's concerts since 1987. Old-fashion stitches A program teaching the traditional quilting method, "Hand Piecing," will be held Monday at 7 p.m., for adults, at the Taneytown Library, 10 Grand Drive, Taneytown. This is for beginners and those who want to slow down and learn an old-fashioned way to stitch. In this two-session program, participants will make a hand-pieced 12-inch quilt block. Family circle A "Family Circle Dancing" session will be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Finksburg Library, 2265 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg. Families are invited to come learn international folk and circle dances. No experience is necessary, and even those without partners are welcome. Children 5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
