Donald Henry Berwager, 77, of Westminster died October 24, 2009, at the Carroll Hospice Dove House. 

Born June 5, 1932, in Baltimore he was the son of the late John Hurley Berwager and Mary Blauvelt Berwager. 

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Jessie M. Berwager.

Before retiring he worked as an engineer for Bendix.

He served as a paratrooper in the Army in the 82nd Airborne.  He enjoyed antique cars and model airplanes.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Michael and Judy Berwager of Independence, Kansas, and John Berwager of Manchester, grandson Matthew Berwager of Westminster and devoted friend Kay Smith of Westminster. 

Funeral services were held at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with Vicar Dana Blouch-Hanson of Grace Lutheran Church officiating.  Interment was in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery with military honors.
