Guglielmo “William” DiTanna, 69, of Westminster, died early Oct. 19, 2009, at home. 

Born Jan. 1, 1940 in Capra Cotta, Italy, he was the son of the late Incoronato DiTanna and Lucia Sozio DiTanna. 

He was survived by his wife of 39 years, Teresa DiTanna.

Before retiring he was employed as a tailor for Joseph A. Banks Clothiers.  He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Lucy and David Owings of Westminster, son Marco DiTanna and fiancé Lindsey Pribble of Baltimore, brother Eduardo DiTanna of Italy and sister Michelina DiLullo of Italy, two granddaughters Lindsay and Lauren Owings of Westminster.

The family received friends at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 23 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with the Rev. Father Hector Mateus-Ariza as Celebrant.  Entombment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
