Harry Lurman Damm, 88, of Sykesville, died unexpectedly at his home, Feb. 3, 2010.
Born Jan. 18, 1922, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Stierhoff Damm.
He was the former co-owner of D&S Body Shop. He was a member of Patmos Masonic Lodge 70 AF&AM in Savage. He was a member of the AAONMS Boumi Temple in Baltimore. He also was an accomplished saxophonist. He was a former member of the Boumi Temple Marching Band.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Peter and Sandra Damm-Hamblin, companion Doris Runk, sisters Alma Cook and Hilda Ely, and granddaughter Haley Damm-Hamblin. He had been regularly visited by Visiting Angel representative Susan Murphy. He was preceded in death by daughter Deborah Damm and wives Dorthea East Damm and Ann Damm.
A Memorial Service was held Feb. 27, at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg. Interment was private.
