John Leonard Sigler Jr., 68, of Odenton, formerly of Randallstown, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010 at the Forest Haven Nursing Home from an extended illness.
Born December 19, 1941, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John. L. and Alice Camille Shaffer Sigler, Sr. He was the husband of Linda J. Sigler of Odenton. They had been married for over 40 years.
He had worked as an auto mechanic with Koons Ford on Security Boulevard. He was a life member of the Liberty Road Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing and listening to country music. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Gary J. Sigler and wife Andrea of Westminster, daughter Michele Green and husband Gregory of Odenton, brother Tyrone L. Sigler of Reisterstown and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road Eldersburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, sympathy’s may be expressed in the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., Greater MD Chapter, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
