Mary Ellen Mayne, 87, of Westminster, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Carroll Hospital Center. 

Born January 22, 1922 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Nettie Tucker Warfield and Lycugus Warfield.  Her husband John Carroll Mayne died in 1985.

Before retiring she was employed at Subway in the Town Mall.  She enjoyed making flower arrangements, decorating her home and playing with her dog Snowee.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws Charles Edward and Shirley Mayne of Ft. Myers, Fla., John Carroll and Helen Mayne of Forest Hill, daughter and son-in-law Betty E. and James Colson of Westminster.  Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five siblings
 
Funeral services were held July 10,  at 11 A.M. at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Interment was in Lake View Memorial Park.
