Lucy Emmer Jones, 99, of Ellicott City, died Oct. 30, 2008, at the Shangri-La Assisted Living, Ellicott City.
Born May 2, 1909, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Rinard and Nora Ellen Wolfe Welch.
She was the wife of the late Francis Elmer Jones.
She had worked many years as a packager for a paper mill company. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Lisbon.
She is survived by daughters-in-law Dot Jones of Rio Grande, N.J. and Rose Jones of Ellicott City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons Houston James Jones and Kenneth Bud Jones.
A funeral service was held Nov. 1 at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Sykesville, with Pastor Jim Osborne officiating. Interment was in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
