Edward Douglas Wilson, 82, of Eldersburg, died Oct. 18, 2008, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia.
Born May 6, 1926, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Edward S. and Jessie E. Thompson Wilson.
He was the husband of Eleanor Phelps Wilson of Eldersburg, his wife of 56 years.
He had served in the U.S. Navy, and was a technical illustrator with the U.S. Department of Defense.
Surviving him, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Barbara Wilson of Dover, Pa.; daughters and sons-in-law Mary Jo and Gerald Wessel and Sandra and Arthur Miles, all of Ellicott City, and Maureen and Jeffrey Hurst and Susan and Peter Econ, all of Columbia.
Also surviving him are three sisters, one brother, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy was held Wednesday, Oct. 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg. Interment was in St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery, Clarksville.
Arrangements were by Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Sykesville.
