SYKESVILLE — County recreation officials want to hear from residents about proposed use of ball fields on Streaker Road in Sykesville.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, in the bingo room of the South Carroll Senior Center, 5928 Mineral Hill Road, Eldersburg.
Members of the Winfield Area Recreation Council and staff from the Department of Recreation and Parks will be on hand to discuss a plan to allow sports teams to practice on county-owned land located between Route 97 and White Rock Road.
"We had heard some concerns about noise and traffic," said Jeff Degitz, director of the Department of Recreation and Parks.
For more information, contact the department at 410-386-2103.
