STORM 2010: Baltimore Gas and Electric restoring power in wake of storm
As of Monday morning, 130 remain without power in Carroll County

Updated 11:51 a.m. Monday.Baltimore Gas and
Electric Company had restored a reported 93,073 power outages throughout Central Maryland as of Monday morning since
the snowstorm that hit the region Friday.
As of 11:48 a.m. on Monday, BGE listed 125 customers without
service in
Carroll County, and Allegheny Power reported five outages in Mount Airy.
Throughout its entire
coverage area, BGE reported 4,092 customers without service.
Approximately 850 BGE and contract personnel are actively engaged
in the storm restoration process.
Additionally, approximately 300 linemen and
support staff from Kentucky, Tennessee and Ohio were expected to arrive late Sunday to begin assisting BGE with the restoration, bringing the total number
of field and support resources to approximately 1,150.
BGE is reminding customers to keep the following items readily
available:
* Flashlights – not candles
* Fresh batteries
* Battery operated clock radio
* Corded telephone
* Fully charged cell phone
* Non-perishable foods
* Blankets
For people customers who rely on well water, filling a bathtub
with water in advance of severe weather is strongly encouraged. Customers
using a generator or space heater should follow manufacturer instructions and
be sure to locate generators in well-ventilated areas.
The utility is reminding customers to
call 1-877-778-2222 to report downed wires, power outages or any unsafe
condition involving gas or electric delivery. For more information about BGE
