WESTMINSTER — Commuters and others who want improvements to mass transportation options in Carroll County will have a chance to voice their opinions at the third annual Carroll Area Transit System Transportation Summit this week.
The summit will be held Friday, Feb. 5, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Nonprofit Center, 255 Clifton Blvd., in Westminster.
The summit will discuss new technologies recently implemented by Carroll Area Transit System, the countywide bus service.
CATS will also discuss issues related to operating in a restrictive budget, and a new shuttle system will be unveiled, according to Doug Howard, CATS executive director.
"We'll provide opportunities for agencies we work with to offer ideas and share complaints," Howard said.
CATS will also work on formulating its one-year objectives, and issue a report to the Board of County Commissioners, Howard said.
