WESTMINSTER — The Board of County Commissioners this month appointed Jay Voight as Carroll County zoning administrator. He succeeds Gayle Fritz, who retired Dec. 31.
Voight, 52, has served as an inspector in the county's Bureau of Permits and Inspections since he was hired in 1992. He has been involved with zoning regulations during most of his 18 years with Permits. He is certified as both a residential building inspector and a mechanical inspector through the International Code Council, and will make $52,832 annually.
A graduate of Westminster High School, Voight lives in Westminster with his wife, Kathy.
