The following events or places have been canceled, closed or postponed due to today's snow storm:

• All Carroll County Public Library branches are closed.

• Northern and Hoods Mill landfills are closed.

• Sykesville's Merry Main Street events are canceled; call ahead to see if stores are still open.

• The TownMall of Westminster's Wake Up with Santa breakfast event on Saturday will be postponed to 9 a.m., Christmas Eve.

• All Carroll County Public Schools activities are canceled for Saturday

• The FIRST Lego League Regional Qualifying Event scheduled for Saturday at Oklahoma Road Middle School is rescheduled for Jan. 16 at Liberty High School.

• Carroll County Health Department's Swine Flu vaccination clinic in Mount Airy is canceled for Saturday

• Carroll County Humane Society will close Saturday

• Sykesville's Parks and Recreation Monday meeting is canceled
