About 75 homes in Eldersburg's Oakland area will be without water Monday, Nov. 17, so crews can connect a new water main. The county Bureau of Utilities said in a release that it will shut water to homes from 8 a.m. until work is done, estimated to be by 4 p.m.

Affected areas include Carroll, Greenville and Oakland roads and Lakeside Drive. The bureau advises residents to store fresh water for the day. Homeowners may experience cloudy water after service has been restored. Turning the tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. For more details, call 410-386-2164.
