A water main break is causing about 40 homes in Eldersburg to be without water today while crews are trying to repair the break.

Customers on the Dale Drive and Dale Court areas of Eldersburg are expected to be without water because water has to be shut off to "ensure a safe working environment during the repairs," according to a press release by Carroll County Government.

Lines will be flushed once the break is fixed, the release states. If you experience cloudiness or dirt in your water lines, the Bureau of Utilities recommends to run the faucets in your home until water runs clear and refrain from doing laundry.
