The 13th annual Random House Book Fair will be held Friday, and Saturday, March 5 and 6 at Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Road, Westminster.

Friday, March 5

* 1:30-4:30 p.m., activities for seniors -- a talk with Timothy Dixon, author of "Maryland's First Black State Treasurer," at 1:30 p.m.; a "Memoirs Workshop" with Dr. Ken Shook, at 1:30 p.m.; and book sales, 2:30 to 430 p.m.

* 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., screenings of the movie, "Planet 51." Cost is $3.

* 7 p.m., Coffeehouse Readings with author Marion Winik.

Saturday, March 6

* 9 a.m., book fair opens. WTTR will have a remote broadcast, 9-11 a.m., in the Great Hall.

* 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., food sales, Cafe Area.

* 9 a.m.-3 p.m., silent auction in the Great Hall. Winners announced at 3:30 p.m.

* 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Discounted book sales.

* 9 a.m., free children's book giveaway, while supplies last.

* 9 a.m.-4 p.m., reading resource area, lobby outside of room L297.

* 9 a.m.-4 p.m., meet local authors at tables set up in the Great Hall.

* 9 a.m.-4 p.m., children's activities in the Student Center and Gym.

* 9:15 a.m., children's story time, room L284.

* 10 a.m., cake judging with Kaye and Liv Hansen, Great Hall.

* 10:15 a.m., children's author Emily Jenkins, book talk and signing, room L284.

* 10:30 a.m., author, David Sibley, book talk and signings in the theater.

* 11:15 a.m., author Karin Slaughter, book talk and signings, room M157.

* 11:30 a.m., children's story time, room L284.

* 1 p.m., cook book authors Kaye and Liv Hansen, decorating demonstration, room L28

* 1:30 p.m., Professor Wizard's Wonders of Science, theater.

* 2:30 p.m., student writing contest winners read, theater.

* 4 p.m., book fair ends.
