The Carroll Concert Band, directed by Glenn W. Patterson and Associate Director Kristen Stoetzer, will perform its annual Sousa Style concert Sunday, March 21, 3 p.m., in the auditorium of Winters Mill High School, 560 Gorsuch Road, Westminster.
The concert is presented in honor of Miriam Beck, who has served as narrator for the band's concerts since 1987.
Beck will be honored for her service to the band, support of the arts and involvement with local nonprofit organizations in Carroll.
Seventy musicians will take the stage to perform a variety of band music including marches by John Philip Sousa, Henry Fillmore, Jamie Texidor, Leonard Bernstein and others.
David Duree, adjunct woodwind instructor at McDaniel College, will be a featured soloist. Patterson will also be featured as vocal soloist.
Tickets for the concert are available at the Carroll Arts Center, Coffey Music, Hess Music and Stu's Music Shop. The cost is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $4 for students and $15 for entire immediate families.
