A benefit concert featuring contemporary folk musician Lea scheduled for Friday, Oct. 17, is rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 5.
The concert, put on by the Eldersburg chapter of the non-profit Roots & Shoots, is part of a series of concerts to help raise money to plant trees in Baltimore and Tanzania.
Lea had to cancel because she was recovering from surgery and had lost her voice, said Suzanne Brault of Eldersburg, a mother who helps with the youth-led group.
The concert will be at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 5 at Johnsville United Methodist Church, 112 Johnsville Road, Eldersburg. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for high school students and free for children 13 and younger.
The next concert in the series will be 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7 at the church featuring Sykesville Christian rock band AngleStone.
