During the week of June 23-28, 20 cadets from Winters Mill High School's Army JROTC program tackled the obstacles of A.P. Hill, Va., and came back winners at the annual JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge. All 20 cadets completed the camp, with two earning honors status.

Those who attended camp included Anthony Vetri, Anthony Pasquali, Matthew Robinson, Aaron Garvin, Malik Randall, James Dutterer, Charles Andersen, Alexis Blacksher, Joseph Kappes, Derek Love, Wallace Wolf, Alicia Johnson, Michael Spindler, Bradley Leete, Katelyn Biddinger, Rebecca Huber, Rebecca Hudson, Nicholas Wolf, James Caulford and Justin Green.

Special recognition went to Rebecca Huber and Justin Green, who were chosen as Honor Cadets for leadership ability and potential. The award placed them in the top five percent of all cadets at camp. Ketti Dutterer served as the Winters Mill unit chaperone.
