Faith Lutheran announces events for Lenten season

The congregation of Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 St. Andrews Way, Eldersburg, has announced its schedule of Lenten/Easter services.

Advent services are Wednesdays at 7 p.m. through March 24, with the theme, "Comparing Days of Creation with Days of Holy Week."

On April 2, there will be a Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

Easter Day services, April 4, will be at 8 and 10:30 a.m., with Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. There will also be a sunrise service (casual) at 6:30 a.m. on the church lawn.

Deer Park hosts Lenten season Bible study series

A free Lenten Bible Study, "Solving Problems with Bible Concepts," will be held at Deer Park United Methodist Church, at the intersection of Deer Park Road and Route 32, Smallwood, on Tuesdays during Lent, running through March 30, 6:30 to 8:15 p.m.

Topics include love, forgiveness, decision making, positive and negative thinking and many others.
