The South Carroll Senior Center, 5745 Bartholow Road, Eldersburg, is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M.  A well balanced meal is served daily at 12:00 noon.  The cost for the meal is a contribution up to $3.35 for Seniors 60 years of age or older.  The cost for those under 60 is $3.35.  Reservations for meals must be made by 10:00 A.M. the day before.  For meal reservations, or information about classes or activities, call 410-549-1357.

Directions to the South Carroll Senior Center from the intersection of Rts. 26 and 32, go north on Rt. 32, turn left onto Bartholow Road, pass Liberty High School, through the four-way stop, and the center is on the right after passing Hodges Road.

Thursday, June 25 at 12:00 p.m.- June birthdays celebrated

Thursday, June 25 at 12:30 p.m.- “Nursing Homes & ID Theft”, talk by Lt. John Shippe, Carroll County Sherriff’s Dept.

Thursday, June 25 at 1:15 p.m.- Carroll County Public Library Bookmobile

Tuesday, June 30 at 9:30 a.m.- Fall Prevention class with Chris Konior

Tuesday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m.- Sue’s Nutrition Corner

Thursday, July 2 at 12:00 p.m.- Independence Day celebration with hamburgers & hot dogs for lunch followed at 12:30 p.m. by karaoke with Darryl West. Reservations required for lunch by calling the senior center at 410-549-1357

Upcoming Trip:

Monday, July 13 from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.- trip to Harrington Slots & Casino.  Cost is $25 with free buffet and $15 free play upon arrival.

Upcoming Event:

Thursday, July 30- Senior Day at the 4-H Fair- applications for entries may be picked up the senior center.  Entries must be dropped off at the senior center by 7/29/09 or at the fair by 8:30 a.m. Judging begins at 9:00 a.m.  There will be an ice cream social under the big white tent at 1:00 p.m., featuring Terry Marsh’s vocal performance.  Call the senior center if you are interested in riding the CATS bus to the 4-H Fair.
