Sara Marie Miller and Ensign Scott Dearden were joined in matrimony in a double-ring ceremony on Dec. 29, 2007, at Covenant of Grace Presbyterian Church, PCA, in Reisterstown.

The bride is the daughter of Dale and Mary Miller of Dundalk, and the groom is the son of A. Christine and the late Andrew E. Dearden of Gamber.

The matron of honor was Sara's sister, Cecilia Voelker, and the best man was Doug Mason. Bridesmaids were Amanda Boblitz, Lindsey Gilmour and Scott's cousin Rachel Johnsson.

Groomsmen were Rob Curto, Ensign John Neubert and Scott's brother Brian Dearden. Scott's cousins, Tori and Ben Johnsson, were the flower girl and ring bearer.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Herbert Ruby III, and a reception was held at the Del Capri in Dundalk. The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and currently resides in Pensacola, Fla.

The bride received her degree in Early Childhood Development from Essex Community College in 2007, and graduated from Patapsco High School in 2007. She is currently substitute teaching with the Pensacola School System.

The groom graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2006 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and graduated from Liberty High School in 2002.

He is training as a Naval Flight Officer in Pensacola.
