Cashman concert -- A jazz concert by the Glenn Cashman Quartet will be performed at Carroll Community College on Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. in the theater in the Scott Center. Free and open to all. Bedlam in the Boro -- The annual Bedlam in the Boro, a haunted house experience hosted by the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department, 4224 Main St., Lineboro, is under way for the season and will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18, 7 to 10:30 p.m. each night. The event includes a haunted hay ride and haunted house. For details and costs, call the fire department at 410-239-4670.

Fall flea -- Zion United Methodist Church, 2716 Old Washington Road, Westminster, will host its Fall Flea Market, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18, 8 a.m.-noon both days. TNT baskets -- The TNT Explosion Allstars cheer organization will host a basket bingo on Saturday, Oct. 18, at West Middle School, 60 Monroe St., Westminster. Realtor Run -- The Pumpkin Run Car Rally, bull and oyster roast will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Pleasant Valley Fire Hall, 2030 S. Pleasant Valley Road, sponsored by Carroll County Association of Realtors Foundation. The menu includes pit beef and ham, raw and fried oysters, salads and more. There will also be a silent auction. The CCAR Foundation supports activities and programs designed to improve the quality of life to economically distressed neighborhoods in Carroll County and Central Maryland. Bull and oyster roast tickets are $35 if purchased before Sept. 30; $40 after Sept. 30. For tickets, and for car rally details and costs, call Judy Ingram at 410-871-2600.

Fall fashions -- The Ladies of the Westminster Elk are hosting a fall fashion show and luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 19, at noon, at the Westminster Elk Lodge, 538 Gorsuch Road, Westminster. Fashions are by Belk of Town Mall. Tickets are $25 and lunch will begin at 1 p.m. The menu will include a crab cake, chicken cordon-blue, redskin buttered potatoes, fruit cups, rolls, baby carrots, desserts and a cash bar. Halloween dance -- Girl Scout Junior Troop 112 will sponsor a fifth-grade Halloween dance 7-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at the Westminster United Methodist Church Social Hall, 165 E. Main St., Westminster. Admission is $5 and includes door prizes and a chance to participate in a costume contest. There will also be hot dogs for 75 cents, sodas for 50 cents and candy.
